Over the last 6 years, since quitting my corporate job in 2018 to pursue a life of artistry & service, I’ve coached over 400 individuals on everything from Personal Brand Development to Career Coaching to Business Building and MORE.

I’ve seen this magic happen in hundreds of clients and students, and – I’ve experienced it first-hand for myself!
The Shift That Changed Everything
When I first re-entered the acting industry as an adult in 2016, my only focus was trying to be what I thought directors, casting directors, and choreographers were looking for. I would choose my material, sign up for auditions, even make choices about the way I presented myself physically to be more like my role models in the community and beyond. If it was working for them, it would work for me, right?
Unsurprisingly – this did NOT work for me.
Because trying to be like someone else is the waste of the person you are (thanks for the wisdom, Kurt Cobain!)
As the years went by, I focused more on working on myself, and less on trying to be what I thought others wanted. I explored what I REALLY loved and was good at. I identified and honed my unique gifts and talents. I pursued topics that interested me. I learned from every audition I had, and started taking classes to level up.
In short: I started committing to become the best version of MYSELF, whatever that looked like. Without realizing it, I had embarked on a journey of self-actualization.
What Is Self-Actualization?
Self-actualization is a psychological concept “regarding the process by which an individual reaches his or her full potential.”
According to Positive Psychology, self-actualization can generally be thought of as “the full realization of one’s creative, intellectual, and social potential” through shifting to an internal drive (versus external validation, like recognition, money, or status).
And without knowing it, this was the shift I had begun to make for myself heading into 2020.
…I started focusing on sharing MY unique gifts and the things I was exceptional at
…I started to excavate and explore my “artistic individuality“
….I voraciously pursued classes, workshops, and webinars that would level-up my skills and give me new tools for my tool box
…I decided for MYSELF what kind of work I thought was most interesting, challenging, and rewarding, and re-focused my efforts to pursue those projects
…And lastly – when I got tired of waiting for opportunities to cross my doorstep, I created them for myself, namely in the form of my award winning 2022 one-woman show
And do you know what happened from there?
Magic.
When I focused on myself and the things that brought ME joy, and allowed me to use my unique gifts and talents… doors started to open for me. (Doors that had previously remained firmly CLOSED, friends!) All because I started and committed to a practice of working on myself and becoming the best version of me, FOR me (no one else!)
And more so – in embarking on this journey of self-actualization – I found myself happier than ever. I felt like I was being true to myself, I was doing things that I LOVED, and I was letting myself SHINE unapologetically without worrying about what people might think.
